Between free music festivals, outdoor art fairs, farmers' markets, and meaningful community celebrations, there is truly something worth looking forward to almost every weekend from May through August.

Here is a roundup of events confirmed for 2026 that we think are worth putting on your calendar.


Appleton

Heid Music Summer Concert Series Every Thursday night from June 4 through August 28, Jones Park in Downtown Appleton comes alive with free music, food, and cold drinks as part of the Heid Music Summer Concert Series presented by U.S. Venture. Appletondowntown It is one of those events that sneaks up on you. You show up once and suddenly it becomes a regular part of your summer routine.

Downtown Appleton Farmers Market The Appleton Farmers Market runs Saturdays from June 6 through October 17, 2026, along College Avenue, where you will find over 100 local vendors selling locally grown produce, handcrafted items, baked goods, flowers, hot food, coffee, meats, cheese, and more. Appleton Flag Day Parade The Appleton Flag Day Parade is an American tradition held annually on the second Saturday in June City of Appleton Wisconsin, which in 2026 falls on June 13. The parade has been broadcast on WFRV TV5 since 1989 and is organized by the Appleton Parade Committee, a group of dedicated community volunteers. Juneteenth Celebration (African Heritage Inc.) African Heritage Inc. hosts this annual Juneteenth celebration in the Fox Cities area, featuring community resources, food, a petting zoo, dance, music, a graduation ceremony, and retail vendors. This celebration has been a cornerstone of the Appleton community for well over a decade, with Appleton's first Juneteenth celebration dating back to 2010. WBAY

Art at the Park Art at the Park is Appleton's premier outdoor art festival, featuring over 200 artists traveling from across the United States and Wisconsin, along with 20 food vendors and local brews. Mile of Music (Mile 13) This one has become a true Fox Cities institution. Mile of Music 2026, dubbed Mile 13, is scheduled for July 30 through August 2 in Downtown Appleton and features over 700 sets of free-to-attend original music from 200 artists performing across 35 local venues. Mileofmusic Venues include coffee shops, bars, parks, restaurants, museums, and other public spaces throughout the walkable downtown mile. Green Bay

Green Bay Juneteenth Green Bay's annual Juneteenth celebration includes a parade with floats, a marching band, cars, and dancers, followed by free festivities at Whitney Park including family activities and live music. ArtFest Green Bay ArtFest Green Bay brings the streets of Downtown Green Bay to life with an art fair, musical performances, food, demonstrations, and interactive activities, with proceeds supporting murals, art installations, and streetscape improvements in the downtown district.
